Lunch and Learn Brings Snowball Poppers to Rolling Hills

Students at Rolling Hills have been constructing snowball poppers during their lunch and learn periods.
Using a balloon and a toilet paper roll, the students explored basic engineering and physics concepts, learning that by pulling back on the balloon and letting go, they can create enough force to make their snowballs fly through the air.
The Lunch and Learn program is a hands on STEAM program that takes place during regular recess times and provides primary students with engaging ways to build problem solving skills outside the traditional classroom setting.
