Kindergartener Places Third in Worldwide Book Creator Competition

A Rolling Hills young author has placed highly in a global competition sponsored by Book Creator.
Six-year-old kindergartener Angela D. used Book Creator to create a book about going to school.
Elementary school judge Drew Daywalt, whose own books include The Day The Crayons Quit, selected Angela’s work as the third-place submission among elementary school students worldwide in the “Tell Your Story” competition.
“Angela writes with quiet simplicity about her mornings before school and yet, the depth of her thoughts and feelings are all on display,” Daywalt wrote in his review of Angela’s book. “A sweet story of getting her day off to the right start.”
Young students throughout the district have been utilizing Book Creator to become published authors while becoming inspired by the process.
Other top winners in Book Creator’s global competition hailed from Canada, England, Romania and Singapore as well as throughout the United States.
