ROLLING HILLS PRIMARY SCHOOL

Earth science took on a whole new dimension at Rolling Hills on Thursday.

Second graders were greeted by a 19-foot-tall inflatable earth in the gymnasium.

The Arts in Education presentation included a discussion of the satellite imagery used to create the sphere's accurate depictions of the oceans and rivers, plant life, deserts and mountains.

The guest educator then highlighted the types of creatures that live in different ecosystems, and their adaptations and mimicry techniques in order to survive.

The 45-minute sessions were capped by the students getting to go inside the inflatable earth.
